You already knew chocolate had super powers, but this one can convince any doubters. Feel free to play with this recipe, it’s quite forgiving! Remember, this is a refrigerator chocolate bark, the coconut oil can not withstand room temperature without melting into a beautiful chocolate puddle.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup virgin coconut oil (melted if it’s not already liquid form)
1/2 cup 100% cacoa powder
1-2 TSP maca powder (or other superfood power you love, maybe ashwaganda powder, or a super greens blend. You can also use a protein powder here if you just want extra protein in your chocolate bark!)
1 TSP honey or maple syrup
1-2 TSP chopped or crunched nut of choice (I like almonds or sunflower seeds)
Pinch of Himalayan sea salt
Instructions:
Simply combine all ingredients except the nuts thoroughly until fully integrated. Taste and add more sweetener or salt to your liking. Poor into a shallow glass tupperware container (the 5 x 8 ones are nice), then top with nuts. Place container into your refrigerator and let chill until solid. The bark should be fairly easy to break up or slice up as you’d like. Enjoy!
